Bayview President Scott McCullum and head PGA Professional Colin Gants take home the prestigious Washington State President-Pro Championship title. Played on the Tom Doak designed Tumble Creek at Suncadia, the President-Pro tournament has been a staple of the PNWPGA for over 20 years. This was Bayview's/West Seattle first attempt at the title!

Congratulations to Bayview's 2008 Memorial Scholarship Recipient

The 2008 recipient of the Bayview Scholarship is Krystal Moulton. Krystal has lived in West Seattle her entire life. She recently graduated from Chief Sealth High School, and she will be attending South Seattle Community College in the fall. While at South, she plans to earn her associate of arts degree, and eventually she would like to transfer to Northwest University of Kirkland to pursue a career in Christian Music Ministry as a worship pastor. Besides going to school full-time and working five days a week at the Lien Animal Clinic, Krystal volunteers as a core leader and mentor at the Skate church/Journey of Faith in West Seattle.
Since 1994, the Bayview Memorial tournament, which is open to the public, has become the largest fundraiser and most popular event surrounding the Bayview memorial Scholarship Fund. For over fourteen years, the program has annually awarded a full-year of tuition to South Seattle Community College for one local high school student who has shown academic excellence and commitment to the community. This year the Bayview Memorial tournament will be held on Sunday, August 10th at the West Seattle Golf Course.
Thanks to our members’ dedication and the generous contributions by the West Seattle Business community and our members, young people in the Area will have access to opportunities that will help them achieve their goals and contribute in our community for years to come.
If you are interested in contributing to the event, hole sponsorships start at $150.00. Hole sponsorship includes hole signage, plus acknowledgement and thanks on our website and annual club newsletter for an entire year. Please contact Scott McCullum, scott@bayviewgolf.org for more information.

Bayview Scholarship Program

Last year we raised $7,450 for the Bayview scholarship program, which annually awards a local student a one year scholarship to South Seattle Community College. Money raised this year will pay for a scholarship for the 2007-2008 school year. The remaining money will go towards fulfilling Bayview’s goal of creating an endowment that will provide a one year scholarship in perpetuity.

The Memorial tournament continues to be our primary fundraising event. Created to remember and honor members who gave to the Club in the spirit of camaraderie and community, the tournament strives to continue in this spirit by providing a day where golfers can come together and remember their friends while also providing for local students.

The 2006 Memorial raised $4,050, though hole sponsorship, five dollars of every tournament entry fee, prize raffle proceeds, and the 50/50 contest sponsored by First Mutual Bank. Hole Sponsors came from within our membership and from local businesses. By clicking on the below names you can find contact information.
